What's the first step to getting my quilt longarmed by Cornerhouse Quilters?
To get your project started, download our quilt form.
Then, simply contact us at 905-260-4448 or cornerhousequilters@gmail.com to step you through the process.
We can discuss convenient drop-off, pick-up, or mailing options for your quilt.
What longarming styles and services do you offer?
We specialize in Edge to Edge Quilting for your quilts. The price for this service includes the cost of the thread. Batting is also available for purchase separately. For more complex designs, we can discuss custom Edge to Edge Quilting options tailored to your vision.
What are common tips for preparing my quilt, and what's your turnaround time?
Turnaround time depends on our current queue, but we will always provide an estimate; most times, we can complete your quilt within 3-5 days. As for getting your quilt to us: we can arrange convenient pick-up in the Durham Region, Kawartha Lakes, and Peterborough area. We can also arrange a meet-up within these same areas, or you can mail your quilt to us.
How is the cost for a longarming project calculated, and how long does it typically take?
Quilting typically takes approximately 3-5 days, depending on the number of quilts in our current queue. Your cost for the quilting itself can be determined by the following calculation:
Width (inches) x Length (inches) x 0.025 = Your Quilting Cost (CAD).
This calculation does not include batting or any optional services.
For example, a 50" x 70" quilt would be 3500 x 0.025 = $87.50.
